Thickly textured post-impressionist paintings allow me to express my love of bright color and simple, bold shapes, working primarily with a palette knife to build layers of paint on the canvas.  The result creates subtle shadows and visual effects when viewed from different angles and conveys a sense of rolling earth, pitted roads, and chalky stucco buildings across the landscape.
